Proposal for a Library RFID Data Model
DS/INF 28560:2011 RFID for biblioteker. RFID in libraries
This technical report (DS/INF) replaces DS/INF 163. DS/INF 28560 contains the Danish profile for RFID i libraries and a section about priwacy.
See: http://webshop.ds.dk/product/M255621/dsinf-285602011.aspx for purchase and informations.
Abstract: The objective of DS/INF 28560, RFID in libraries, is to establish guidelines for the implementation of RFID in Danish libraries for the handling of library materials. The document is an elaboration of DS/INF 163-1:2005, RFID Data Model for Libraries, which is withdrawn. At the same time it constitutes a follow up on ISO 28560 and provides a Danish profile based on Part 1: Data elements and general guidelines for implementation and Part 3: Fixed length encoding. In addition, this standard contains recommendations and guidelines for the use of RFID in libraries in relation to the protection of privacy.
The Danish Data Model:
The Danish Data Model was first published a report from a working group and then as DS/INF 163 (which now is replaced, se above). The latest version of the report about DDM is:
