Preparations for next version of ISO 28560

The working group with the responsibility for ISO 28560 has decided to prepare the next version of the standards. There is no Maintenance Agency for ISO 28560, so it is just the normal ISO rules for updating standards which apply (new version or Corrigenda and Amendments).

The formal decision about new version or Corrigenda and Amendments need a time-consuming procedure. And making Amendments can bring confusion. So ISO TC46/SC4/WG11 RFID in libraries have decided to prepare a next version – and declare at http://biblstandard.dk/rfid/ that the proposal is accepted by WG11 and will be proposed to be added to ISO 28560 when the next update of the standard are carried out.
